The city and province of Groningen were the scene of the first International Martini Orgelconcours from 3-11 August, 2017. The Prins Claus Conservatorium, the foundation Martinikerk Groningen, and the “Peter de Grote Festival” combined forces to organize this competition, which was open to professional organists and students under 35 years of age. The article reports on the 2nd round, 8 August in the Der Aa-kerk in Groningen, and the finale, 11 August on the organ of the Martinikerk in Groningen.
