A first opus with historical roots

On 11 April 2025, a new organ was inaugurated in the Dutch Reformed Koepelkerk in Renswoude. It is a remarkable instrument, not least because it is the first opus of the organ building firms Mense Ruiter Orgelmakers of Ten Post and Van Rossum Orgelbouw of Wijk en Aalburg, now merged. A new generation had taken over the management of both firms a few years earlier; the current proprietors, Sander Booij and Gerrit de Jong respectively, decided to join forces to safeguard the future of both organ building businesses as effectively as possible. The organ in Renswoude is the first audible testimony to this fruitful collaboration. Peter van Dijk was the organ consultant for this project.
