Hans Beek Organ culture is benefited by research in archives
HetORGEL 104 (2008), nr. 1, xx-xx [summary]
In Germany – otherwise than in the Netherlands – many sacred archivesare not deposited with regional or state archives. And these archiveshave often not been searched for the presence  of informationrelevant to organ culture. Two current German project demonstrate thatsuch archival research unearths much relevant and interesting materialfor organ culture:  the well-known research by the Bach-Archivin Leipzig, directed by Christopf Wolff, and the less well-knownproject of Konrad Küster, that concentrates on the sacredarchives of smaller cities between Bremen and Hamburg.
