I. International organ competition Pierre de Manchicourt

The concept
The competition is open to organists of all nationalities without age restriction.
They may also decide to compete on one, two or three different instruments (classical, polyphonic, romantic aesthetics).
The programs are partly free and partly not. They are made to let the jury members evaluating the musical skills of the candidates, his technique and the pertinence of his repertory regarding to the chosen organs. All pieces or transcriptions should be compatible to the specificities of each instrument: Auxi-le-Château, Saint-Omer and Béthune. However, the resources and possibilities offered by these organs are larger than the time period that inspired them. It is therefore possible to keep an open mind and not to be literal with their aesthetics.

Auxi-le-Château: French-historical Organ (Carpentier/Cattiaux, 1747/1993), 3 cl/péd/33 jeux)
Saint-Omer: romantic inspired Great Organ (Cavaillé-Coll, 1855, case from 1717), 4 kboards / ped / 49 stops
